Fees, Rebates, and Other Important Information
General Rate
Psychologist
The cost of treatment with Next Step Psychology & Counselling will depend on your needs and the psychologist that you see.
If you have received a referral to Next Step Psychology & Counselling from your GP as part of a Mental Health Care/Treatment Plan, you will receive a Medicare rebate which will reduce the cost of your treatment.
If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible for rebates or full support for mental health services. You will need to speak with your health fund to determine your eligibility.
If you do not have private health insurance, you can still receive treatment with us as a self-funded client. Please note that all fees are payable prior to every appointment.
Reduced Rate
We provide a lower rate for the following:
Healthcare Card
Access to Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) program
Work Cover
National Disabilty Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Financial Hardship

Cancellation Policy
Your health and well-being are very important to us. We understand that sometimes unexpected events can occur requiring schedule adjustments. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least 72 hours notice.
Our Policy:
Any cancellation or rescheduling made less than 72 hours will result in a cancellation fee of $50.
Any cancellation or rescheduling made in less than 48 hours will result in a cancellation fee of the full session rate.
Please note that cancellation fees are not covered by Medicare.
Cancellation fees will need to be paid prior to your next appointment.
